In conjunction with the start of the NCAA March Madness Tournament, we are excited to host the 3rd annual Hoop Work Madness 4-on-4 Basketball Tournament. Teams will compete in 4-on-4, full-court games with a maximum roster size of 6 team members. Games will be 32-minutes with two 16-minute halves. Each team is guaranteed at least two games with a maximum of 5 pending game results. You may submit 7 players on your roster, but can only dress and play 6 during competition.
The philosophy behind the 4-on-4, full-court format with a maximum roster size of 6 is simple – “DEVELOPMENT”: Most athletes are finishing up a basketball season in which their teams consisted of 10-12 team members and each athlete played an average of 8-16 minutes per game. The 4-on-4 tournament format allows each participant to play significant game minutes and contribute to their team while working on their basketball skills. Players will experience more offensive involvement and teams will be able to run offense with excellent court spacing. The spacing will put an emphasis on important team defensive principles and rotations, which is so important to developing a winning team defensive culture. The conditioning each participant will experience in the games is second to none. This a fun event for children finishing up their winter sport seasons and an excellent opportunity for young athletes looking to prepare for the Spring AAU basketball season. IT IS THE ULTIMATE COMPETITIVE PRIMER FOR TEAMS ENTERING AAU SEASON THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND.
